Do the people in Oklahoma use a lot of modisms or idioms that diff from rest of the country?

I have a friend from Oklahoma and he always talk with modisms, figures of speech , idioms etc. that leave me guess sometimes. Is that people from Oklahoma talk the same or is it just him. And what should I do to learn them anyway so to "catch his wing"?
