Should I drop him?

i met this boi on a cruize and i fell in love with him the problum is he lives in georgia and lately hes been acting super strange we got in our first fight over christmas break and we made upand everything was fine until on christmas day i texted him a merry christmas and he all of the sudden told me he was selling him phone right then and that we would have to talk on e-mails so i sent him a e-mail to explian how i was feeling and then he did not e-mail me back for a long time when he finnally did it was super short saying "hey how have you been, i wont leave you hangin but i think we took things to far so hit me back up" i e-mailed him back asking him if he was going to still try to make things work but i yet again have not heard from him in a while should i drop him and start moving on or give him achance to make things right?
