Science help?

Science has always been my worst subject, and now I have a big project and I can't think of how to start! So that's why I need your help. My experiment needs to start with a problem... and to answer it you have to do an experiment. The experiment has to be one that has independent and dependent variables. Make sure that it's not too advanced or too easy either. I'm a middle schooler. Help is greatly appreciated.
