Would you except money from online friend you've never met in person?

I have an online friend who likes me. I like him but I'm not physically attracted to him but I like him as a person..well as far as I know b/c we've never met in person. Well, i'm going through some hard times and he offered to help me in any way he can. He ended up sending me $250 in a money gram (he lives in another state). He just gave me the id number and told me he hopes it helped. I was astonished that he would send me money without ever meeting me. Now he wants to send me more money to help with some bills. He seems completely smitten with me and he seems nice, but i'm wondering if I should take more money from him. I really need it and he wants to give it but do you think it's strange that he wants to give me money and he's never met me? And would you take it?
