Can i use this kind of battery?

i have a insignia camera. it has a setting for which type of batteries am i going to use. it has a setting of alkaline, NIMH, lithium, an oxyride batteries. i have rechargeable ni-cd batteries. can i use this kind for my camera? if i can which battery mode should i put it on?
